Several years ago Chrysler gave what had previously been called Sebring visits to the salon, but comes with a plethora of new (albeit subtle change) body panels, and a more sophisticated overall) - and a new name, 200. Change is absolutely no revelations or sudden turnaround for Chrysler's mid-size sedan, but they increase the presence of the road a little.
Nose 200 which can be mistaken for that of a luxury car (Mercedes-Benz, perhaps) at a glance, and the grille are soft and sophisticated. There is a casual grace to the rear lights as well. On the other hand, the old Sebring profile and roofline are still there, and they never quite get into the market. Details beyond the otherwise somewhat lacking - such as plastic badge "200" on the display panel back door.
Inside, the Chrysler 200 has the exact look and feel, and a luxurious atmosphere that can help you to temporarily forget about the lack of pizazz exterior. With the plastic tight, low-gloss that gives the touch, and thin metallic highlights (tastefully done here) that ring the main areas of driver control is simple and smooth. A round the clock and the center mimic the shape of the grille, and the dashboard has a slightly sharper than the smoothed-over design of the Chrysler 300. It was good, but we have noticed that the black plastic face tends to collect fingerprints, and some instrument cluster still has green backlighting.
The conversion of 200, we tend to think of them as a bit awkward in profile with the top up, fortunately when you drop on them more manly. There are two different configurations - retractable hardtop or soft top fabric - and a soft top that could be considered fine of two complex sets of cutlines as you get with the hardtop.
