Most of the 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer lineup looks like it will be stingy and saving fuel. But it's not so much the case.
With the 2.0-liter base engine, pretty good mileage, at 25 or 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, but it was 3-6 mpg on the highway is lower than most other cars in this class.
GT models of level 2 or 3 mpg low around 22/31 or 23/30, respectively, while the all-wheel-drive SE rates only 22/29--far thirsty than the AWD Subaru Impreza and 36-mpg highway rating it.
It continues to get worse with the Ralliart, which only manages 18 mpg city, 25 highway, and Evo, rated as low as 17/22.
