Toyota is flush with buzz surrounding the company's new 86 sports car, and that could translate into additional performance models if the vehicle's chief engineer has anything to say about it. Sydney Morning Herald reports that Tetsuya Tada, the mind that brought Toyota 86 to life, believe there is room in the stable for two additional sports cars. Tada was quoted as saying that while 86 is a medium sports car, he wanted to see one vehicle positioned below the boxer-powered coupe as well as additional models are placed higher in the lineup.

The machine has the potential to be a substitute last Supra, complete with high engine horsepower and rear-wheel drive. Like the 86, the vehicle will be another collaborative project between Toyota and Subaru. Unfortunately, Tada is quick to say that nothing has been decided as of yet. Keep your fingers crossed.

I think so many of you forget how much a MKIV is the day todays money. Yes they are $ 45-55K car but todays money close to $ 80K! why do you think they never sold well who is going to pay $ 80,000 in todays money for Toyota. Now obviously things may have changed as the Supra has gained notoriety, but they never cheap or affordable car. Look MKIII car is very under-appreciated, now theres all kinds of arguments over it but let's face it, it was and still is a good car that sits in the shadow MKIVs. In fact they cost $ 28 - $ 31k in their day and in todays money thats around $ 55 - $ 60k for one. Every generation has more and more expensive. Can one of you to buy Supra MKV if it be made? Go with the trend you can probably guess the car for the cost of 100K or at least close to what the GT-R costs.

And people argue about FR-S/86/BRZ performance. Sure there are plenty of cars that will blow the doors off of the one that arent "sports car" but everyone once again forget that this car is supposed to be a spiritual sucessor to the old AE86. You can not even argue this, but in 1985 Corolla GT-S is not the fastest thing on the planet is also not a fast car in general. Why FT86 all of a sudden need to get along with that STIs and Evos those two cars are completely different. Of course people can not buy because they do not fast in a straight line but if you're into the racing style youre looking into the wrong car, and I suspect many people will buy anything thats fit there needs. Supras, 3000GTs, it's 300ZX, RX-7, even humble Corolla GT-S, and the Celica All-TRACS each generation of cars all the way and forever will always only sell to a niche market of people who really want one . If Toyota is into sales and not to the people who really like old cars you will see FT86 with 3UZ stuffed in it (not sure how it would work). But like the Nissan GT-R they know who the car will appeal to and be built like that. They want the car owners to be happy with what they've done and they understand they can not make everyone happy, but from what I see and I think they did a good job.

First off, no name Scion. Scion, like it or not, known as, "my first car" cheap young, for people starting out (that they can decorate or modify if enthusiastic) or for those who only see the car as a "people mover". The SUPRA is the name of a wild thought, which really got the respect of even the "muscle cars" and owner of the Corvette because it's a great performance, it's the ability to easily modded to put out a large amount of power (some doing 600-650whp on stock bottom end). Other people do not know that or obscured captivated by the power that these cars are evil handlers as well. Plus, the interior they are ahead of their time, imitating the "cockpit fighter" jet fighter. These cars were on the walls of children, and they are just as eager to older adults as well. Scion names will turn a lot of parents, period.

There is a name made for the Supra. I'm all for an entry level model 30k and 40k monster, and in fact, I think Toyota Supra in the mark can make $ 40k that will easily give up the Boss back, and maybe take the ZL-1 or Shelby. A car's performance, this legacy has no reason to be spotted with a Scion badge, or insignia Lexus at the time. Look at the incredible GT-R. Everyone thinks they are going to market it as Infiniti, Nissan but even smart enough to not take away the name plate. Supra holding the weight as much as the GT-R nameplate. Stop the car drive to the estate crap just for the sake of marketing already.

Down sound that's all you want, but the people who agree with me will choose it, and those who elected me will know I'm down ALSO RIGHT but butthurt.
