The car is a white 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible similar to the one described above, and the engine, 7.0-liter LS7 V-8, built by none other than the Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter.
Unfortunately for the collectors out there, General Motors plans to keep this particular Corvette C6 - it will soon be on the road for Heritage Collection car back in Detroit.
The car is 13,466 th Corvette was built for the 2013 model year, the last year for the C6 and 60 for the Corvette nameplate. Since its launch C6, back in model year 2005, more than 215,000 examples were built.
Workers at the plant Bowling Green now in the process of converting the last of the assembly line to be ready for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which began production in the coming months and should be in showrooms in September.
General Motors Company [NYSE: GM] also moves popular Performance Build Center, currently located in Wixom, Michigan, to the Corvette factory. There's been no mention of where the engine will be included in the Corvette Engine Build Experience this time. Previously, the program is intended for buyers Z06 and ZR1 models. New LT1 6.2-liter V-8 that will power the new 2014 Corvette Stingray will be produced at GM's Tonawanda engine plant in Buffalo, New York.
