The news 2013 Acura MDX Reviews - 2013 Acura MDX has a luxurious design and space-efficient, versatile packaging made of high-end luxury crossover model of vehicle choice between affluent U.S. families, but has one additional thing that most of the other models do not: It's actually fun to drive. With a comfortable cabin, impressive and security, and just a little roughness-plus eye-raising, fleet-footed performance on pavement, MDX provides a variety of buyers both what they need and what they want in a seven-passenger, three-row luxury crossover vehicle .

For the most part, the MDX remains one of our favorite luxury crossover, and the design has aged well in recent years since a full redesign. It's one of Honda's better efforts to provide, rather utilitarian box-on-wheels design some characters. Some sleek curves applied to the body fairly upright truly a miracle, especially on the rear pillar.

MDX remain in touch with Honda Pilot, but as more handsome sheetmetal show, MDX is much more focused on experience-on the road-driving. Power comes on strong from 300 horsepower -, 3.7-liter V-6, which delivers power through impressive even with a full load, with a six-speed automatic transmission, and, very sharp dynamic intelligent all-wheel-drive system puts the power to pavement (or gravel, sand, or snow) confidence. The power steering still a bit too bright (with a quick ratio that takes some getting used to), but overall we think the magnet-MDX optional electronic suspension systems improve both ride and handling. Overall, the AWD system, suspension, and steering together neatly excise embonpoint (or at least, think of it) that taints the driving experience of so many crossover-especially those with three rows.
Adults will find all-day comfort in one of the two perched in the front row. The front seats offer especially great strengthening and support. As for the third row, it's the size of children, such as the bench in this class, but the second-row seat tilts and slides forward to expand access to the rear. There are plenty of storage areas and cubbies in the MDX, and the second and third row folded forward there is enough space to swallow almost flat materials weekend most projects. Otherwise, the cabin is well-executed comfort zone, with Milano leather trim and cascading woodgrain dash trim of the center line, as in the larger RL sedan. Exception-and one frustrating that we could not get over-the layout of the instrument panel is messy and unnecessarily complex

You will not mistake the Acura MDX for anything but a luxury vehicle. In addition to impressive interior trims and materials, it comes with all the comforts and conveniences expected in a premium car, and you can option it with impressive audio, infotainment, and even adaptive suspension.

MDX 2013 took over basically unchanged from last year. It comes loaded with all the features expected in a larger luxury vehicles-except for the USB port, which is included only with the upgraded audio system. But the excitement comes in a choice, and most of them are grouped into one of three different packages: Technology, Advance and Entertainment. We recommend that, awesome 410-watt audio upgrade package that you get with Tech, while the entertainment package is for those with children they want to entertain the DVD included with the system. Package adds front ventilated on the front seats, adaptive suspension, and a number of pieces of safety, such as blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, and brake applies itself if the vehicle senses an accident is imminent.

Interior 2013 Acura MDX - Handsome is definitely the word that applies for 2013 Acura MDX. The design has aged well since the last full redesign, and it's one of the best efforts of Honda utility vehicle design, giving a box-on-wheels design of some of the characters, and the style feels more powerful and lasting than most.

One key to display the MDX, which seems at once contemporary and more traditional on the other, is a combination of carefully sculpted sheetmetal applied to the body fairly upright - in a way that is not at all heavy-handed. This is most obvious in the rear pillar, where the arc creeping round rear side windows, plus a curvaceous stretch of sheetmetal at the rear, combine to make the MDX look more manly than.

There was one disappointment for the design, maybe, and that's the front end tghe brash, dubbed everything from a corkscrew to a "bionic beaver," the theme is never quite hit yet elegant look right and feel that most vehicles Acura Policy.

Inside, Milano leather, wood-grain trim, and a few cascades down in a pile of all the help center built entirely right that the MDX luxury vehicles. Dashboard little straighter than the Acura, but kept many of the same themes and looks well-adjusted, the gauges are clear and visible control. The only exception to both design and practicality standpoint is that the instrument panel could be just a bit too messy.

Performance

Behind from 2013 Acura MDX

Performance 2013 Acura MDX - While the MDX is not probably the best player in his class, it was one of the most satisfying. And although it may be somewhat utilitarian and mission-minded family, its performance, even objectively, fairly strong.

Although the 2013 MDX brings along with some of the basics along with the Honda Pilot, Acura get more power - of the 3.7-liter V-6 that makes 300 horsepower and strong acceleration doles out and impressive passing power. With variable valve timing and electronic throttle, it's very smooth and responsive through the entire range, and sounds great, with a tone of intake growl made its way into the cabin if it is not tight and quiet.

The V-6 comes matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, with a low first gear that allows the MDX churn away from stoplights with authority muscle cars (60 mph arrives in about seven seconds), but without the drama. Acura Super Handling all-wheel-drive system remains standard, and the driving force for each wheel based on available traction. In normal driving conditions, it continuously measuring grip, handing more power to the wheels that can best use force. And unlike most all-wheel drive system, which adds more of an impression of driving weights, the system here is more oriented handling and actually make a little more fun curvy roads.

Steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters included, which makes it easy to click off a shift or two right when you need it, and in addition to the manual mode really smart system will keep you in a normal downshift 'Drive' for about half a minute.

Handling large MDX, compared to almost every other crossover except maybe BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne. Our biggest complaint about the MDX is that the steering is too light, although the MDX's optional electronic-magnetic shocks allow the handling and body control without the ride, fragile restless sometimes you get the type of vehicle in return. Suspension base offers a good balance, too.

Quality

Quality 2013 Acura MDX

Quality 2013 Acura MDX - Under its sculpted detail somewhat, contoured sheetmetal and crisp luxury-vehicles, 2013 Acura MDX is really quite a boxy vehicle - and that pays dividends when it comes to interior space. With three rows of seats, including the back row that can fit adults for short stints, the MDX has an impressive passenger space for young disputes can not be a workhorse cargo for the project at the weekend.

Among the MDX's three rows of seating, adults will find all-day comfort in one of the first two lines. In front especially, there is a large and strengthen support. Getting in and out of the third row may be a problem for adults, and the accommodation itself was reasonably sized kids, but it can be done for adults if you slide the second row forward slightly adjusted.

Especially with the third row folded down, there is plenty of luggage space in the back, and if you fold both the second and third row, there is a total of nearly 84 cubic feet of space with a nearly flat floor. Keep the third row, and you still have 15 cubic feet in the back - probably more than enough to run a large grocery. Storage bins and cubbies everywhere in the MDX, and not a standard power tailgate makes loading cargo easier.

Fit and finish is excellent, with a nice woodgrain trim that helps keep the feel of the interior of drabness. And the MDX is very quiet, good on rough surfaces or highway cruising.
The only complaint we have with this is that the interior of the MDX instrument panel is too busy, with so many buttons, lights, and controls. This does not strike us as a simplified interface for frenzied mother, who perhaps most often MDX driver.

Safety

Safety 2013 Acura MDX - If safety is one of the main priorities-as it should be for, smart shoppers wealthy families who usually see luxury crossover vehicle-the 2013 Acura MDX deserves some serious consideration. It has a good record for safety, including some top safety ratings, a solid list of standard safety features, and some high-tech active-safety options that can help you avoid accidents altogether.

Standard on all trims of the MDX the front, side and curtain airbags, all-wheel drive, anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, active headrests, and a rearview camera system that displays a broad view as soon as reverse engaged. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning system, and multi-view rearview camera are all added to the Advance option package, which we recommend to save the lives of their potential-although we do note that this system is one of the most invasive we 've tested.

MDX get top 'good' ratings in all categories of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) testing, and it earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick status in the previous model (anticipated for 2013 as well). In rigorous testing federal program (NCAP), the MDX has received a four star rating in side-impact top five, although achieving four stars overall and frontal impact.

Features 2013 Acura MDX - You would not mistake the 2013 Acura MDX for anything but a luxury vehicle. In addition to impressive interior trims and materials, it comes with all the comforts and conveniences expected in a premium car, and you can option it with impressive audio, infotainment, and even adaptive suspension.

Leather seats, power windows, locks and mirrors, electric heated front seats, a rearview camera system, three-zone automatic climate control system with humidity control and air filtration, a power tailgate, 18-inch wheels, a six-disc changer dash and XM Satellite Radio, additional audio jack, steering-wheel audio and phone controls, and Bluetooth hands-free calling interface are all standard features on the base MDX.

While it was nice, joy comes in the choice, and most of them are grouped into one of three different packages: Technology, Advance and Entertainment.

For families who take a road trip (or just those looking to distract the kids in the back), Entertainment package adds a rear-seat DVD system with a large LCD screen and a 115-volt outlet.

Package adds front ventilated on the front seats, adaptive suspension, and a number of pieces of safety, such as blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, and brake applies itself if the vehicle senses an accident is imminent. Most will appreciate the extra security, but we would not recommend it to people who might find the blips and bleeps added distractions.

We would recommend the Technology package, which adds the navigation system are well understood, triple-view rearview camera, premium 410-watt system with hard-drive audio storage medium, and a USB port for your media player to connect to the car head unit.

One strange omission is that the basic model still lacks a USB port, to get it, you need to upgrade to a 410-watt sound system premium.

As is the case with many vehicles are more fuel efficient which has three rows of seats, if you consider the 2013 Acura MDX is green all depends on how much you use the ability. But even then, it's hard to find this as a green pick at all once you see the numbers for it than rival models.

MDX gets an EPA-rated 16 mpg city, 21 highway. And in class, there are a number of vehicles that get one or two more miles of a gallon, which adds up over the years-and the entire time of ownership.

The Lincoln MKT now manages 17/25 mpg, for example, while the Lexus RX 450h Hybrid-a-got up to 32/28.

It's also worth remembering that MDX premium gasoline is required.
