The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 Auto Reviews - Aston Martin DB9 back to 2013, after a possible brush with fate in the form of Virage 2012. It was a great 2 +2 coupe lineup coming to Aston Martin as an alternative to swankier DB9 seven years later - and for 2013, it will disappear from the lineup after only 18 months, while the DB9 back with most of the Virage is a smooth upgrade. Score one for the ages and experience.

There is only one generation of the DB9 in the eight years since it was introduced. Hardly changed since then, it is refined signature style of Aston Martin, suave spin on the formula GT is intricately entwined with the Vantage and the Rapide four-door sports car, less so the new Vanquish and more outrageous. It's not long enough to get the status icons, but the silhouettes Aston lock immediately, and make high-priced owner from time to time with ageless appeal. There are no visible lines on, and the details are the essence of good taste - a sleek, hidden door handles tuck back into the door panel so it does not interfere with an outline, a little tight curl decklid spoiler on the back, and a bright LED fender strakes under the form like a cuff. It's pretty good as a coupe or convertible Volante.

The road winds through the cabin aesthetic. DB9 wear tight fitted leather and wood trim (walnut, ash, or mahogany) or carbon fiber. The touchscreen LCD and metal trim rings are not disturbing the peace here first. There is only the confidence of restraint in DB9 points, down to the crystal-tipped against you for any pedestrian clip to it.

A genuine grand tourer, not a sports car, DB9 reserves of speed and grip is not as deep as those from several options hyperexotic. The 6.0-liter V-12 engine that powered the same since the launch it was launched. Only now, it's rated at 510 horsepower, and is now able to throw the long-wheelbase, high-pricetag engines to 60 mph in about 4.6 seconds, or 186 mph. A Jaguar XJR comes very close to those numbers, then do the Hyundai Genesis R-Spec.

The comparison ends abruptly with a very emotive skin of Aston V-12, and, tight clean turn-in of the hydraulic steering. Six-speed, paddle-shifted automatic ZF has shift faster now, although there are many back teeth of seven and eight-speed, automatic throttle-blipping offered even by some non-luxury domestic cars - not to mention lust-object PDK dual-clutch Porsche of, or any other decent dual-clutch. It's easy to find where the DB9 does not meet the specifications for the arrival of the head-on - but it's hard to find a challenger who did so consistent with its brand image.

With a bonded and riveted aluminum body as used by Jaguar, Aston DB9 lighter than likely, and stiff too. This dynamic results that blow over a certain output, and a touch more nimble than some two-seat roadsters with German insignia that prices in the same stratosphere. The DB9 was never locked for attention with the spirit of Porsche, but it has its own brand of athletic responses, the feedback is called from all-electric sportscars steering and ride quality absorbing a huge 20-inch, 35-series tires and low, low ride height seem to rule. An adaptive suspension is the key: it has more fashion this year with Normal, Sport and Track covers a wider range of stiffness surprises to match the first two driver settings. Carbon-ceramic brakes standard, and as in other units of high performance cars, which is very capable, and grabby in the first few dips into the pedal.

The DB9 fit two passengers very well, and other adults will have to find their own transportation for anything but the shortest of trips. Front seat base is sleek and well-shaped. Aston Martin offers a composite seat sports coupe that remove rear bucket, but they are not very useful for anyone except kids, anyway. They are more frequent garbage luggage with plush seats, because the stem itself is very small, even by sports car standards.

For the new model year, Aston Martin has added a new feature to the DB9, including automatic headlights and a rearview camera that displays on the navigation screen pop-up. That the nav system continues to be a frustrating user experience for its owners - seriously, use Google Maps to better, faster rendering, more accurate - but optional 1000-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system is a can't-miss selection that rivals the sound of any other British car and their premium-branded audio (Naim, Meridian, Bowers & Wilkins). There are carbon fiber trim package for the interior and exterior, it is a characteristic that will not be confused for the synthetic stuff, but we would rather spend money on skin primarily available in coupe. Volantes DB9 Convertible comes with the standard power-operated folding and rear glass window, of course.
2013 DB9 is priced from $ 185,000, not including options or destination charges.
