The Lincoln MKS has been a slow seller, and it may be a bit confusing at first, because it sure is a handsome sedan. Although the identity of Lincoln - both current and future - is as foggy as ever, MKS luxury sedan in any case are well proportioned, oozing charm from a distance and in good detail. And, we tend to think that the MKS stands as a counterpoint, quiet classy for a Cadillac CTS-brash with fit and finish is actually a step beyond that in the CTS.

Although the MKS is essentially a cousin of the Volvo S80 and quite closely related to the Ford Taurus, does not look like it. About the only thing it does have in common with the Taurus is rather short, curved roofline and high beltline bit, with a little overhang at the front and at the back of the now typical for the class.

The MKS is a handsome classic cars, the Lexus mold, with large call-winged grille attention to herself a little more insistently than the rest of the car. Visually, Lincoln has made some minor changes to the exterior for 2013, and they add to the 'show' something more significant, even if the proportion has not changed. MKS has a lattice pattern of fine blades and lower airdam is a bit more chiseled, while tents have been handed down but given the strong central spine - all of which makes the car look a bit lower and wider than the front. Styling on the back has been cleaned as well, following the contours of the trunkline different this year.

Inside, we see a lot of love, the theme, the linear parts with the design of the cabin, as well as matte-metallic trim pieces removed for 2013. White-lit electroluminescent gauges soft glow at night from leather and wood trim, with attention to detail was much closer. Stitched leather panels to replace some hard surface left for 2013, and MyFord Touch has been subbed into the interior. Unfortunately, that means a set of capacitive slider for volume and climate control functions also.
