Even among large sedan, the 2013 Lincoln MKS. And you expect the dimensions of the exterior to give way to something that is very comfortable for the long term.
That's right, to a degree. The MKS is the sedan a very comfortable, quiet, played a major role convincing car, also provides support for sporty drivers want to drive and highway slogs same. It puts aside the tradition of floaty ride brand, thankfully. However, given that the exterior, the interior space is limited surprising.
Long wheelbase translates into plenty of leg room for the front passenger and rear seats. Those in the front get a bucket seat that takes the best lessons from Volvo, they can indulge with a top layer of softness, and stood in the company as hours and miles pile on. Heated seats, too, and well-ventilated, which almost makes up for disturbing the active headrests that sit too far forward for our tastes. Along with the back of his head, we thought the steering column MKS 'must telescope out a few inches, as it can force the driver to a sitting position closer than they wanted.
Back seats tend to be slightly congested, and limited in headroom, but they are also very supportive, and well heated. Three in not much of a problem, and two adults can be as much as they might after decades of marriage.
Small-item storage all over the place. Ford fits the niche enough to hide the iPhone and netbooks in MKS, with cup holders for every seating position and a couple of bottles of water reserves a slot in the door. A large trunk, and Lincoln has made the opening larger, lower lip to lift more easily in 2013.
About the only thing we are not big fans is absurdly wide center console in the front, as well as the new (and mandatory) capacitive slider for climate control and volume. For everyone but the designers, we ask: What is wrong with these keys?
Although we have not driven model of 2013, we expect the addition of the damping constant (with three modes) to make a significant contribution to ride quality over rough surfaces. There is also voice activated control to help keep the cabin quiet.
