Fuel Engine 2013 Lincoln MKS |
The 2013 Lincoln MKS is a large luxury sedan, and despite the introduction of several more years of fuel saving technology does not offer better gas mileage than the norm for a vehicle of this size.
Active Grille Shutters, now included in the 3.7-liter version of the MKS, intelligent open only when cooling is needed, reducing aerodynamic drag and improve fuel economy on the highway. Also new to the MKS is a smart battery management system that places a high priority on charging the battery when driving or slowing down.
Basic versions of MKS earn an EPA rating of 18 mpg / 27 - 2 mpg on the highway better than last year. That's still a pretty low number for the sedan V-6-powered modern. EcoBoost turbo version with all-wheel drive is rated 17/25, while the 3.7-liter AWD versions get 18/26 mpg.
