2013 Subaru BRZ is an all-new sports car, and combining several 2 +2 sports car classic proportions with modern style details. On the inside, it is the same, following the cockpit instrument panel is simplified, the material is rather basic, but specific details and textures remain attractive.
With a relatively long hood, long, arched roofline and sculpted pelvis, with lines running around to the fenders and rear trunklid spoiler, the BRZ has a classic sports car proportions from the side, and a striking five-spoke wheels complete the look.
From the front of the hood you will probably find it very low-pressure engine is very low installation and low center of mass of the lower grille just below the bumper and lights that spread into the fenders. Those lights are on only styling elements that BRZ has in common with other Subaru cars. On the back of a more complex, with multiple design echoed taillight bulbs but with carved-out sheetmetal in the middle, along with blacked out rear valance with twin pipes plus the lights in the middle. The only thing that was a little harder to warm up to the side fender vents are right in front of the door, even from ten feet away, they look like the Pep Boys add-on, and badging (like what Scion FR-S is almost identical gain) can be avoided that eyesore.
Inside, we like it, the basic down-to-business look at the cockpit, and how some controls to follow the design inspiration with nuts-and-bolts of the climate control buttons, such as industry, or a textured material that looks like corrugated metal around them. Some of the materials used could have been more interesting, though, in the front passenger seat is a slab, the continuous light-silver-colored plastic (over soft grained material would be better), that does not quite fit with metal trim in addition to the center stack.
