'Just' is probably what many Americans would think when they size up the Kizashi. It's about right for a young family, empty nesters, or just urban commuters who want a vehicle that is also not wide enough to be a burden to the park. Factor in the cabin is well designed, pleasant material, and smooth ride, and it's an attractive package with plenty of passenger appeal.
We do not say that Suzuki has achieved any packaging magic here, though. Kizashi is a compact sedan more than a mid-size on the outside, and the same ring in the true. But what you get to help make the most of the space - like a good, supportive bucket seats brings a lot of support for higher driver, as well as a great driving position.
The back seat was definitely the kids, but if you have a driver higher in the future, it will only work for a few adults for short distances. When there is no middle passenger - which we recommend - you can fold down the rear armrest, which includes a cupholder.
Trunk space is also where Kizashi revealed that it was not quite a mid-size. Opening the trunk is quite small, too, but the seatbacks split 60/40 and can easily be flipped forward. It's not enough floor flat in the end, but however good headrests tuck away without the need to be removed.
If you like the feel of a detailed materials and upscale luxury models, but you do not see the need for an image or a higher price tag, the Kizashi is a good fit. It really shines in the details - better than most other models in this class - the plastic kind added grained soft-touch surfaces and soft in most places you will brush against. Controls for the audio and climate has a positive, high-quality feel with a textured grip, they will not be out of place in a car costing twice as much.
If not, we appreciate how there are several smaller storage space clever: There is a large storage bin right in front of the shifter, with the lid to leave electronics out of sight, and a USB input located, for iPod connectivity.
Kizashi ride scalable manner, upscale, and sporty same. This is a bit firm, but not so much to be jarring, and dampen road noise very well. At the same time, there are not all that much noise or rough roads, thanks to some clever tuning and cabin insulation.
