The Buick Enclave has a strong track record when it comes to crash tests. Although not the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not been updated scores for model year 2013, we expect the addition of several new pieces of technology will only add luster to the Enclave's performance.
Standard equipment on the Enclave include front seat side airbags, full-length side-curtain airbags, and electronic stability control. A rearview camera is now standard across the lineup, powered by a new addition of color-touch radio Enclave.
Major innovation in the Enclave for this year is an additional side airbags fitted to the ship's position in the driver's seat. Center-front side bags, Buick says will protect the front passenger from injuring one another in case of an accident, and it is a GM exclusive, with one of the Enclave first vehicle to get the feature.
Enclave now also offers a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert.
