2013 Dodge Avenger failed to provide specifications and numbers are fully competitive in this class, but in the end the performance was not very inspired.
For everyday buyers most, 2.4-liter, 173-horsepower four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic should be bypassed and left to right to rental fleets. Four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic-standard combination in most of the rest of the model line-quite cheerful, but there's a little rough too much at times. If not, the 283-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is optional is a major upgrade, with the attitude, strong smooth. Most of the time, the six-speed automatic is a good companion, with smooth shifts under full-throttle acceleration, but lighter-duty driving some trembling and confusion.
Also, the V-6 has a little problem with torque steer. Avenger has fashioned hydraulic power steering, and a low ride height in the front than in the back, together they provide a decent road manners and feedback, but not happy and toned with the most speed.
