Starting a car company really, really hard. Starting a car company to build the world's first plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan even harder. And manages to pull it off by launching a car with absolutely jaw-dropping style, the car that causes people to stop in their tracks - and to make it run 30 miles or more on electric power from a wall outlet to boot - have to be absurdly hard.

But that's what Henrik Fisker has been done, and the launch of the 2012 Fisker Karma four-door luxury sport sedan the end of 2011 is a significant event. The car has a number of delays and technical stumble, but now out there, it is delivered to the customers who put down deposits for three years ago, and a few dozen U.S. companies now have a car dealer in stock for show. Fisker hopes to sell 15,000 Karma years, globally, after the production line in Finland running at full speed.

Unveiled in January 2008 at the Detroit Auto Show, is the first victim of the Karma Fisker Automotive. There are two driving modes: "Stealth," battery electric option, and the "Sport" mode where the engine will be activated for better performance and extra power. Drivers can switch between them, assuming no energy left in the box, and the default once the car into Sport pack out until it is attached to fill up again.

Karma 2012 offers an unusual choice, interior, known as the "EcoChic" that contains no animal products and only use reclaimed wood and recycled fiber. On the surface of the dashboard and the seat upholstery is suede cloth simulation of various brocade-like fabric, creating a look that might be memorable if you like the style.

2012 Fisker Karma is the first vehicle of a new company car, and that's a feat in and of itself. Given the six-digit price floor, it has an electronic gadget less than the competing vehicles - although it offers some standard features that competitors can not match at any price, including the range-extended electric powertrain and a roof covered in solar photovoltaic cells.

Karma offers only a single powertrain, and all models are equipped with 22-inch alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 specially developed Supercar low-profile tires. Bi-xenon headlights and LED exterior lighting standards, and all interior lighting is by LED as well.

The 10.2-inch "Command Center" touch screen on the center console includes not only screen for the navigation system and rearview camera, but also to control the sound system, climate control and infotainment functions such as Bluetooth phone connectivity devices and devices connected via USB port .
