2012 Dodge Avenger
Installed last year with a new V-6 powertrain, retuned suspension and new interior, Dodge Avenger coming back for the 2012 model year car lease still intend rehabbing his image. It is undoubtedly better than it was before, but Avenger is still struggling due to compete with powerhouses including some family sedan Ford Fusion and Kia Optima.

Carried over virtually unchanged in 2011, the Avenger still looks right. This is a mini-Charger, and has a lock on brand unity small car washed from their successful big brother. Dodge crosshair grille takes great stay in the nose, but it is upkick that connects to the rear quarters Avenger over the Charger sedan. Inside, the cabin polished up a bit in the 2011 model year, but not to the same level as the Chrysler 200. Dash caps are a little more sculpted, efficient climate control, and some nice details contrasting bright and matte plastic with soft-touch pieces. The lower part of the dash was mostly left untouched, and put a plastic low level of 200, and some measuring device remains the same and the more visible here.

Chrysler Avenger brought on the basis of powertrain this year, and for everyday buyers most, 2.4-liter, 173-horsepower four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic is best left to the rental fleet. The 3.6-liter Pentastar Avenger's new V-6 in the 2011 model year, and it's a major upgrade. It lets loose 283 horsepower at the front driver, and its 260 pound-feet of torque to rotate the front tires a little too hard sometimes. Torque steer this problem: when the engine winds up smoothly, and put the power over high-output engine from Hyundai, Ki and Ford, the power to make strut-and-multilink suspension Avenger's dance. Avenger weaves on takeoff with a left-right swing torque steer before it settles down into a set of straight-ahead. Avenger has fashioned hydraulic power steering, and a low ride height in the front than in the back. Together they provide a decent road manners and feedback, but not happy with the speed and tight most like Fusion is - apart from the acceleration, was excited.

The interior space can be tricky with the Avenger. On paper, it offers about the same space as the Sonata, Optima, Fusion or Subaru Legacy. Head and leg room are equal to or better than most, though the Avenger trunk is on the small side of the scale. This is a mini-Charger roofline that plays tricks. The Sonata glass allow plenty of light into the cabin, where the high shoulder and low roof line of Avenger and dark interior trim makes it feel more restrictive. With TV, seat width, it has room and space for fun, but do not feel like it. Getting in and out can be a problem in the back seat, too, thanks to the high sills and a low roofline.

An IIHS Top Safety Pick, Avenger comes with curtain airbags and stability control, and Bluetooth is offered at least as an option - but no rearview camera on any version, or a blind-spot monitor. All versions have air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, 17-inch wheels, split-folding rear seats, and upholstery fabrics. Satellite radio and a USB port are standard or optional on all models, and the navigation system is now offered on the Avenger.

SXT model adds much-superior six-speed automatic transmission, plus automatic climate control, heated body-color mirrors, eight-way power seat driver, 17-inch alloy wheels, a trip computer and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio upgrade. Stepping to the SXT Plus, and you get a V-6 engine, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, upgraded seats with French-seam stitching, and touch screen-based media center.

2012 Dodge Avenger R / T model adds a visible, more blacked-out monochromatic throughout, including accent lighting in reading, black perforated leather trim, and 18-inch polished "Rallye design" wheels.
